Online psychologist in Geelong.
Geelong's growth brings its own pressures — work, family, and the pull between city and coast. MeHelp connects you with a registered psychologist online, from Newtown to Torquay.
Sessions run on Geelong time (AEST · AEDT).

Start where you are.
Three quick ways to begin, no matter what stage you're at.
Why online psychologist sessions work for Geelong residents.
Whether you're commuting to Melbourne, working locally, or raising a family along the coast, online sessions mean support without the drive.
Online psychology sessions for Geelong residents take those barriers out of the way:
- No commute, no waiting room. Sessions start at your time, from wherever you are.
- Same-week first session. Most Geelong clients see a psychologist within seven days.
- Evening and weekend slots. Easier to fit around work, family, and study.
- The same evidence. Research consistently shows that for most conditions, online therapy is as effective as in-person.
- AEST and AEDT. Sessions adjust to your local time, so a 7pm appointment is actually 7pm Geelong time.
What we work with in Geelong.
Australian psychologists supporting you across mental health and life challenges. Every condition has its own guide with treatment information.
How to start.
Most Geelong clients have their first session within the same week.
Book a GP appointment
Ask your GP in Geelong for a mental health consultation. A longer appointment gives you time to talk through what's going on.
Get your plan and referral
Your GP can prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan and signed referral. MeHelp needs both before bulk-billed sessions can begin.
Send it to MeHelp
Upload your documents to our secure folder, email them, or ask your GP to fax. We'll match you with a psychologist and book your first Geelong-time session.
With a referral, or without.
Both get you to the same place — an AHPRA-registered psychologist, online. The difference is cost and a GP visit.
With a Medicare referral
Bulk billed — nothing to pay.
- Up to 10 sessions a calendar year
- Needs a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan + referral
- We bill Medicare directly
Without a referral
Pay privately — no GP required.
- No GP visit, no referral
- No session limit — go at your pace
- Often a first session this week
- Completely private — nothing shared
The simplest part.
out-of-pocket per session

Local support in and around Geelong.
Geelong is in Western Victoria PHN, the Primary Health Network covering Geelong to Dartmoor, then up the South Australian border and east to Patchewollock. At the 2021 Census, 289,630 people lived in the Geelong urban area.
The Geelong Medicare Mental Health Centre is in Norlane. Victoria's Mental Health and Wellbeing Local for Greater Geelong and Queenscliffe is run by Barwon Health in partnership with Wellways, ermha365 and Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative. Barwon Health Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services covers the Barwon region, including Greater Geelong, the Bellarine, Surf Coast and Colac-Otway, and offers 24/7 help and information through its triage. headspace has centres in Geelong, Corio (in Norlane), Armstrong Creek and Ocean Grove.
Victoria has no single statewide mental health line; triage runs through area mental health services, and the Acute Community Intervention Service (ACIS) is available 24 hours a day. A MeHelp psychologist can be part of the same picture rather than a separate track. You could keep seeing your GP, use the Local or Barwon Health triage for local support, and have therapy by video from home or work. For urgent help, please use the crisis contacts given on this page.
