Online psychologist in Bunbury.
Whether you live in East Bunbury, Davenport, Picton or further out in Greater Bunbury, MeHelp connects you with an AHPRA-registered online psychologist you see by phone or video, from home or wherever suits you.
Sessions run on Bunbury time (AWST (no daylight saving)).

Start where you are.
Three quick ways to begin, no matter what stage you're at.
Why online psychologist sessions work for Bunbury residents.
Bunbury is the South West's port city, and a lot of local work runs on mining, mineral processing and farming schedules. An online session can be booked around a roster or a busy season instead of waiting for a quiet weekday.
Online psychology sessions for Bunbury residents take those barriers out of the way:
- No commute, no waiting room. Sessions start at your time, from wherever you are.
- Same-week sessions. Choose a first appointment time that suits you when you book.
- Evening and weekend slots. Easier to fit around work, family, and study.
- Nationally registered. MeHelp psychologists are registered with AHPRA to practise across Australia, so where you live doesn't limit who you can see.
- AWST (no daylight saving). Sessions adjust to your local time, so a 7pm appointment is actually 7pm Bunbury time.

Australian psychologists supporting you across mental health and life challenges. Every condition has its own guide with treatment information.
How to start.
Using a Medicare referral? These are the three steps. Paying privately? You can go straight to booking.
Book a GP appointment
Ask your GP in Bunbury for a mental health consultation. A longer appointment gives you time to talk through what's going on.
Get your plan and referral
Your GP can prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan and signed referral. MeHelp needs both before bulk-billed sessions can begin.
Send it to MeHelp
Upload your documents to our secure folder, email them, or ask your GP to fax. We'll match you with a psychologist and book your first Bunbury-time session.
With a referral, or without.
Both get you to the same place — an AHPRA-registered psychologist, online. The difference is cost and a GP visit.
With a Medicare referral
Bulk billed — nothing to pay.
- Up to 10 sessions a calendar year
- Needs a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan + referral
- We bill Medicare directly
Without a referral
Pay privately — no GP required.
- No GP visit, no referral
- No session limit — go at your pace
- Often a first session this week
- Completely private — nothing shared
The simplest part.
out-of-pocket per session
With a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP and a signed referral, MeHelp accepts the Medicare rebate as full payment. We don't charge a gap fee.

Local support in and around Bunbury.
Bunbury is covered by the Country Western Australia PHN, the Primary Health Network for all of WA outside Perth. Like the two Perth PHNs, it is managed by the Western Australian Primary Health Alliance.
Public mental health care in the region comes through the WA Country Health Service's South West Mental Health Service, which has separate programs for infants, children and adolescents, for youth aged 16 to 24, for adults and for older adults, plus an acute psychiatric unit at Bunbury Regional Hospital. headspace Bunbury, on Strickland Street, supports young people aged 12 to 25 and also has sites in Busselton and Margaret River. The national list of Medicare Mental Health Centres has no Bunbury centre; the WA centres are in the Perth area and Northam.
Outside business hours, Rurallink, listed by the WA Mental Health Commission, is a line for people in regional and remote Western Australia, running overnight on weeknights and around the clock on weekends and public holidays. None of these services is replaced by seeing a psychologist online. Your GP can stay your first contact, the South West Mental Health Service covers acute and hospital care, and MeHelp offers regular sessions by phone or video for ongoing support. For an emergency or urgent risk, go to the crisis contacts listed on this page.
